Tsavo National Park

Your 3-day safari begins with a journey from Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park, known for its vast open plains and striking red-earth landscapes. Upon arrival, you check in at Ngutuni Safari Lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. This is a great introduction to Tsavo’s wildlife, with chances to see large herds of elephants coated in red dust, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. A visit to landmarks like the Aruba Dam often attracts plenty of animals and birds, especially in the dry season. You return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

On the second day, you explore the contrasting scenery of Tsavo West National Park, which features volcanic hills, natural springs, and thicker vegetation. After an early breakfast or en-route game drive, you travel between the parks with wildlife viewing along the way. In Tsavo West, you visit the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water reveals hippos and fish beneath the surface, and continue with a game drive through lava flows and rolling terrain. The park is also home to elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and a variety of birdlife. You spend the night at Ngutuni Safari Lodge, enjoying the quieter, more scenic environment.

Your final day includes an early morning game drive in Tsavo West National Park, offering one last chance to spot wildlife as the park comes alive at sunrise. After breakfast, you begin your return journey to Nairobi . Along the way, you enjoy additional wildlife sightings, bringing your Tsavo safari to a memorable close with diverse landscapes, iconic animals, and classic Kenyan wilderness experiences.
